Links

We have been reluctant to offer links.

Most Jewish sites are simply that: Jewish. So someone who wants to know what the religion of Sinai has to say to non-Jews, or a non-Jewish monotheist - a Noahide or gentile co-religionist of Israel, a member of the same family of faith - probably won't find them completely satisfying. Not yet, anyway. We try to help with this, but not every Jewish organization understands, at this point, that Judaism - call it, as Rainbow Covenant does, the Hebrew Revolution - has a huge "outpatient department," in the First Covenant.

Most of the Torah-oriented sites that do address Noahides - non-Jews - have serious flaws. But we believe in our readers. We believe that, after getting acquainted with the Torah in outline, the wise can detect on their own what's questionable on a website. So, without endorsing any site unconditionally, these links all offer good things:

http://www.geocities.com/rachav7    (by Noahides, for Noahides, from Australia)

http://www.myspace.com/bnai_noah  (Rev. Jack E. Saunders' site)

http://academyofshem.com/  (Alan W. Cecil's site - author of The Noahide Code: a guide to the perplexed Christian. This little book is very erudite and information-packed but not always right. Its analysis of Christianity's theology and development is interesting but most Christians will find it offputting. We definitely appreciate Alan's appreciation of Rainbow Covenant:    "Insightful and often amusing, this is the best available about the Seven Laws of Noah." )

http://www.okbns.org/ (by Noahides, for Noahides, from Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma B'nai Noah Society recently released a Noahide prayerbook or siddur called Service of the Heart. It's flawed but it's good - it's surprisingly good despite its many flaws. Rabbi Michael Katz calls it part of "an ongoing conversation." He and other scholars, including Rev. Jack Saunders, contributed to it. You can see it online here.)

http://www.torah.org

http://7lawsofnoah.blogspot.com (news and views from Canada)

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=16873400509&ref=ts   Virtual Bnai Noah/ Noahide Community facebook group. An interface for networking - it "may work to unify and possibly build up a physical Noahide Community in your area."

http://www.aish.edu  (Torah - "the fire of Torah")

http://www.mesora.org (Torah - "the Tradition")

http://www.noahidenations.org (for Noahides by Noahides. Ray Pettersen's Noahide Nations' site, including Noahide Nations' elaborate virtual yeshiva. Jack Saunders and Rabbi Michael Katz are regular contributors. One of the more ambitious Noahide sites.)

http://www.613.org (613 commandments within Sinai's Ten Commandments)

http://www.tfdixie.com (Torah for Dixie)

http://www.outreachjudaism.org (even with this name, this also addresses a Jewish audience. Judaism doesn't "reach out" to try to make non-Jews Jewish. Non-Jews who convert to Judaism are trying to do more than God asks of them. But anyone can, and everyone should, become a co-religionist of Israel - a believer in HaShem ("the Name," or God), a member of the same community of faith.)

http://www.afsi.org (Americans for a Safe Israel - culture wars and geo-politics)

http://hurryupharry.bloghouse.net/archives/cat_syrian_journal.html (a British blogger's take on Syria and the wretched mess called the modern Arab world)

http://www.asknoah.org  (CHABAD - Hasidic Jews - for Noahides. These people teach some extremely peculiar doctrines, like the idea that their late leader, Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, was more than human. They refuse to acknowledge our existence or that of Rainbow Covenant, the book. Their teachings on the 7 Laws tend to be crude, archaic, and extremely off-putting. They are, however, fairly active, and they often add new content. Take the good, if you can find it, ignore the bad; be warned!)

http://lazerbrody.typepad.com/lazer_beams/bnai_noach (different Hasidic Jews: Rabbi Brody, disciple of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, for Noahides)

http:// www.noachiden.nl   (Dutch. By Noahides in Holland: Sefanja and Naomi S. Severin's organization)

http://www.jihadwatch.org (the unfolding story)

http://www.kinder-noah.de   (German. By and for German-speaking Noahides)

http:// www.bneinoach.at (By Noahides in Austria, for German-speaking Noahides)

http://torontonoahides.blogspot.com (For Noahides in Toronto, Ontario.  If you are in Toronto or in the Greater Toronto area here is a contact for you)
