Maps of the Arab-Israeli/Muslim-Jewish War

One needs to look at a map. Can you find Israel?

Why do all these countries oppose Israel's existence?

Is this multi-generational conflict truly about land?

Israel or Palestine

Concerning the matter of Israel - the Holy Land, which some people prefer to refer to as Palestine - these Scriptural verses get neglected. They are certainly worth exploring:

I will bless them that bless you, and curse them that curse you; and in you shall all the families of the Earth be blessed. - Genesis 12:3

But if you [Israel] will not drive out the inhabitants of the Land before you, those that you let remain of them shall be pins in your eyes and thorns in your sides, and shall vex you in the Land in which you dwell. - Numbers 32:55

The Land, too, shall be clear of them [the People of Israel], and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she [the Land of Israel] lies desolate without them - Leviticus 27:43

I will move them [wayward Israel] to jealousy with those that are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a vile nation. - Deuteronomy 32:21

They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel be no more in remembrance. - Psalms 83:5

In other news, we recently received the following criticism of this map:

I find that the list of those nations are described in the map is not justified. Mauritania is in good terms with Israel, and Morocco have no hostile attitude toward it. Same can be said about Somalia. Jordan has a peace treaty with Israel, and no hostile attitude toward Israel is voiced by the government.

Our response:

With all respect, the vast majority of the people who answer to polls in all these countries, according to polls, fervently desire Israel's destruction. The media in these countries foster this attitude obsessively.

Except for Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan - which, while virulently anti-Israel, are not ethnically Arab - all these countries belong to the Arab League. The Arab League is, officially, unconditionally devoted to Israel's destruction.

All these countries support every anti-Israel resolution they can, in the United Nations and elsewhere. Even Morocco, Mauritania and Jordan, which indeed no longer actively, officially support the Arab League's long-standing sweeping anti-Israel boycott, officially support the infamous proposition that "Zionism is racism."

All these countries falsely maintain that Palestine, so-called, historically a despised, neglected backwater on the far periphery of Arab culture, is, like Iraq, say, or Saudi Arabia, an integral part of the historic "Arab heartland."

The late Yasser Arafat's Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), founded in 1964 ( before Israel conquered the so-called West Bank - actually, Judea and Samaria - with all of Jerusalem and all of Gaza, was created, funded and exists not for the good of the so-called Palestinians but to destroy Israel. The phrase that Israel's Arab enemies have made famous by constant repetition, "the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people," is remarkable for the number of falsehoods - pure lies - packed within it.

One could go on about the Muslim and especially the Arab countries' remarkable hatred for a single country - there has been nothing like it in all of human history. Germany and France fought war after war against each other for generations, for instance, but never did they refuse to acknowledge each others' existence, or officially maintain that their national policy was to annihilate, totally destroy, and erase the other nation completely off the map . . .

As for Jordan, or Eastern Palestine, which was carved out of British Mandate Palestine to serve as the Arab Palestinian homeland, even now, despite a limited treaty, it continues to make the sale of any land to any Jewish person a capital felony. (However "peace-loving" one may consider Jordan to be, Jordan actually executes people for this "crime.")
